august 26-29

                This is our second week back. 

                In  writing  class  we've  been  journaling  and  writing  letters  to ourselves  in  the  future  and  writing  practice  invitations.

                For English we have been doing alliterations like / little Lonny likes lullabies.

                 For  history  we've  been  learning  about  the  Native  Americans  and  how  they  adapted  to  the  different  environments  like  the second  ice age  and  our  environment.   

                For  science  we  have  been  learning  about  the  five  different  layers  of  the  atmosphere.  They are  ( from  lowest  to  highest )  the  troposphere,  the  stratosphere,  the  mesosphere,  the  thermosphere,  and  the  exosphere.  Also  in  science   we've  been  learning  about  the  wind  and  weather.

                This week’s morning announcer was Aaron. 

                Football   for  grades  5-8   first  practice  was  cancelled  due  to the  heat  (Tuesday  the  8/20).  First football practice was moved to Thursday 8/22.

                There was a fire drill on Wednesday the 21 at 9:45am.  

                There was also a lock down drill (8/23 at 9:45am).

                No school Friday: 8/30 and 9/2 2013.
