I have
learned a multitude of things from Atonement pertaining to religion that I may
be able to use throughout life. I haven’t been able to use these “utensils”
very much lately, but as I go through high school and life I realize I will
cross complications and strenuous circumstances where I will need to implement
what I have learned. I hope to make use of everything I have been taught.
I went to
preschool that didn’t teach about God, so I didn’t really know who He was or
what He did for me. I think I vaguely remember going to church when I was that
young, but like I said I never really took into consideration of what God did
for me and everyone in this world. I joined
Atonement in Kindergarten. Atonement, I want to say, “Opened my eyes to God.” I
specifically remember memorizing enjoyable and catchy songs about Jesus saving
humanity and God creating our world. As I graduated each grade and moved on up
I started to learn more and more about God. It wasn’t till I got into seventh
and eighth that I truly started to understand what I was being taught.
I’ve
learned an “endless” amount of information to teach others about God. I’m thinking
one of the most important information about spreading God’s news is to not
force His great Word upon others. You need to explain His teachings’ to others
with gentleness. You have to remember that you just give them the information
to believe and the Holy Spirit is who gives them life and turns them into to a
believer of Christ.
It is
out civic duty, being Christians that we need to spread his news. It has been
made clear to me that if you don’t believe in God, you will go to Hell and
spend an eternal life with Satan, instead of spending an eternal life with
someone who actually loves you. God loves us all equally.
He loved us
so much that he sent is one and only son to the cross to die and save us from
eternal death with the Devil. God owns us. We should dedicate our lives to Him
in every way possible. Through our talents, our work, and everything in
between.
God adores
when we do things for him. Even the littlest prayer we give him before eating a
meal. Since we owe our lives to him we want to do everything possible for Him.
We should be thanking Him for our whole life. He
is our Heavenly father and we need to obey Him. God gave us the Ten
Commandments for a reason. We should want to obey those rules as Christians to
please God. The commandments were meant to guide our lives. Honor your father
and mother, that includes our Heavenly father too. You need to follow the one
true God and have no other gods before Him. Remember to not steal. Do not
murder or hurt others, this includes not saying hurtful words. Always build
others up, do not tear them down. Also keep the Sabbath holy by praising God
that day and trying to not do any work just like God on the seventh day. Last,
but not least, do not covet anything that someone else owns.
Overall, I
learned plenty at Atonement and I’m prepared to learn more when I go to high
school at Northwest Christian. The three main points I would say are tell
others that God has done wonderful works for them, remember to with the truth
from the bile and say it with gentleness and respect, and lastly do all you do
for God. I feel equipped leaving Atonement. I am ready to tell the world about
God.
