Moon Myth: Little Tim and the Wolf

Little Tim and the Wolf
By Allie

Once upon a time, Little Tim decided to go on a walk in the Alaskan woods. He stumbled upon a wolf pup. Then, he threw a rock at it and it was knocked out cold. Just then, the mother wolf pounced out. Apparently she wasn’t happy. Little Tim ran, and finally jumped into the sky.

The wolf followed. He now glows in the sky, and the wolf is still chasing him, so each night he is in a different place. A few times, the wolf finds him and gives him some bruises and scratches when they get in a scuffle.

Then Little Tim runs away again. When he thinks that he is safe from the wolf, he slowly, night by night, gets out of his cover. If he hears the wolf howling, he slowly, night by night, goes into more cover. That is also why wolves howl at the moon, because they are still very furious with Little Tim.
