4 characteristics of Chordates

We are learning about these four things in science, notochord,postanal tail,nerve cord,and the pharyngeal pouch,and their purpose.  Notochord is what supports the animal though out the body.  Postanal tail is a structure that is muscular located at the end of chordates.Such as fish,amphibians,reptiles,birds, and mammals.  The nerve cord is a structure that is tube like though out the whole body.  At the beginning of the nerve cord it turns into the brain,and the rest of the nerve cord a spinal cord.they are found in the region between the mouth and the digestive tubes as pairs of opening to the outside.
